Toni Kernick
Registered Psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar)
Toni has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), a Master of Professional Psychology and a Master of Clinical Psychology. She is also a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). Toni is accredited with WorkCover, NSW CTP Scheme, and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). She is currently completing the Clinical Psychologist Registrar Program.
Toni is a dedicated psychologist experienced in delivering evidence-based interventions to assist clients to achieve social, personal, educational, social, and vocational goals. Her approach is recovery-oriented engendering hope, healing, empowerment, and connection.
Toni particularly enjoys working with clients to address work and life trauma, panic and anxiety- related issues, stress, and sleep problems. She has worked in community-based organisations, NSW Health, school environments, and private practice, providing both face-to-face and telehealth psychological interventions.
Toni utilises a range of treatment modalities based on individual needs, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based approaches, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. She is passionate about enhancing her clients coping skills to create more meaning and purpose in life. She is committed to client-focused and evidence-based practice that emphasises the strengths and autonomy of the people she is supporting.
