Philip Carr
Philip is a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience working in a range of mental health settings, including Community & Mental Health, as well as with Open Arms Veterans & Families Counselling Service. In the last 15 years, Philip has worked in the primary care setting at Hunter Primary Care, delivering clinical services and more recently management services.
Philip is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), as well as a member of the Clinical College of the APS and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). Philip is an accredited supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Philip has experience working with adults across a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use, anger management, grief, and adjustment issues. His main treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as other modalities such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapies.
