Jo Warne
Jo holds a Master of Social Work degree and has worked extensively with children and families for over 20 years in the areas of child protection and OOHC in various roles and contexts. Jo has led practice teams to integrate trauma-informed, person-centred, and strengths-based approaches through a holistic lens. Jo is passionate about partnering for safety and supporting families using evidence-based approaches to ensure a fair and balanced assessment, partnering with the referring service and the family to consider the child’s experience of being parented, the parent’s history, and their capacity to change, safety-planning as it may relate to various risk issues for children and young people in the household, as well as the day to day experiences of the family. Jo is committed to ensuring a fair assessment that identifies areas of strengths and development, as well as the capacity of the parents to change and access supports where required.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Jo enjoys working with participants to improve emotion regulation and utilising a person-centred approach to understanding individual needs and skill building. Jo is looking forward to refining her skills as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, through a holistic lens that is people-first, and building meaningful relationships with participants.
Jo is committed to doing her part to enhance the well-being of others by challenging structural barriers that contribute to inequality, discrimination, and oppression.
