Melissa completed a Bachelor of Arts-Psychology (Honours) in 2012 and is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She also holds a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy degree.
Melissa previously worked in counselling roles in higher education, in-patient hospital, and workplace rehabilitation settings. She has worked with clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders, social isolation and loneliness, workplace stress and burnout, and difficult life transitions. Melissa’s experience extends to developing and delivering evidence-based programs to improve young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
She works with clients collaboratively and creatively to support them in achieving their goals. Melissa uses a range of counselling techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
She is passionate about ensuring that all members of the community can access high-quality mental health support when they need to.
